Welcome to my blog

I've wanted a way to try and keep in touch with everyone and I think I'm going to try this. It was quick and easy to setup. So, here goes....

It's January 7, 2009. Barry and I have been in Las Cruces for a little over 2 years. He's been in Phoenix since last April, going to school at UTI. He will finish in July which seems, not too far away. We are both ready for him to come home.

I'm working on my first ever tiling project - the laundry room counter and backsplash. It's been quite a learning process. But fun. I'm hoping it turns out well and I will move on to the nichos and arches in other parts of the house. I have another major project I'm wanting to tackle (biggest thing I've ever done) but it will have to wait until I have more energy. I will write more about that later.

Let me hear from you! I feel like I'm on alot of people's shitlists or something!

  1. Sara! Happy New Year. I'm so glad you started a blog. I hadn't heard from you and was beginning to worry. Email me your cell #. I got overly efficient at cleaning out my email over the holiday. - Marian

  2. Good to hear from you. Wonderful weather here in Nebraska. I think it is 3 degrees this morning.

Not too much going on. Waiting for retirement (like 2 years, 9 months, 2 days but who's counting). Tom Lowry had a pretty bad fall (from his son's roof) last Sunday. Multiple breaks in his left arm, fractured socket aroun eye, cuts and alot of pain. Looks like he will be out for quite some time. Morale of the story, don't go on a roof to remove Christmas lights day after an ice storm.

  3. That's awful! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I'M KIDDING! I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Yea, we did move here primarily for the weather and it has lived up to our expectations. Other than the occasional windy spells, there isn't much to complain about. Oh, and something we didn't expect. We have the most incredible sunsets. I'll post some photos.
